Plan your campervan electrics with confidence.
Drag in Victron kit and a Fogstar lithium battery. CamperCurrent wires it up, sizes every cable and fuse, and tells you how many days you'll last off-grid.
No sign-up. Works on your phone, tablet or laptop. Two ways to start
Know what you want? Build it yourself. Not sure? Let the planner suggest a system.
Drag and drop
Add parts to the canvas and place them where they'll go in your van. Cable lengths follow your layout, so moving a part re-sizes its cable and fuse automatically.
Build from my lifestyle
Tell it how many days you want off-grid, when you travel, how much you drive, your roof space and what you'll run. It lays out a complete system you can then tweak.
How it works
Add your kit
Solar, DC-DC charger, shore power, inverter, battery and the things you'll power – fridge, lights, heater and more.
It does the maths
Every cable is sized for under 3% voltage drop and to carry its full fuse rating. Problems are flagged as you go.
Take it to the van
Print your diagram, copy the cable and fuse schedule, and buy everything from one kit list.
What you get
- A clear wiring diagram with 12V, solar, 230V and negative runs colour-coded.
- Cable sizes and fuses for every run, based on your actual cable lengths.
- Off-grid estimate – how many days your system lasts by season and driving time.
- A full kit list with buy links, so you can tick parts off as you order.
- Save and share your design with a link – handy for getting a second opinion.
- Print or save as PDF to keep in the van while you build.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There's no account and nothing to pay. Some buy links in the kit list may earn us a small commission, at no extra cost to you – that's how we keep it free.
Which products does it use?
Victron Energy for chargers, inverters, monitoring and distribution, and Fogstar Drift lithium batteries (300Ah and 460Ah). These are the parts we trust in our own campervan builds.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. A bigger screen is easier for laying out larger systems.
Does it replace an electrician?
No. It's a planning tool to help you get the design right. See the safety note below.
Safety first
CamperCurrent is a design aid, not a certificate. Check figures against the manufacturer's datasheets, have your finished system checked by a competent person, and have all 230V work installed and tested by a qualified electrician.
Ready to plan your system?
It takes a few minutes, and you'll come away knowing exactly what to buy.
